Conference: Annual NCRC conference in Washington last week gathered over 600 participants and continues to promote the financial inclusion agenda worldwide through its call for bank accountability and transparency!
The annual conference entitled "Not just an Economy, A JUST Economy" took place on April 18-21 2012 in Washington DC.

The annual event organised by key ECRC supporting organisation from the US the national Community Reinvestment Coalition, has been a great success. With American community groups from all US States making their way to the capital, for a 3 and half day conference containing almost 50 worshops or plenary sessions, the NCRC has shown again the key role it plays in reassembling, training and motivating consumer, anti-poverty, equality and community advancement advocates for fair finance.

This year, an improtant delegation from Central America was present, as well as a delegation from France. ECRC also attended in the person of Sebastien Clerc-Renaud, Head of Coordination from the ECRC secretariat.

A detailed report of the conference will be drafted in French by the French delegation and a summary will be posted on the ECRC website in English over the coming weeks. Presentations will also be available at the end of the month from the NCRC website.

Among the key speakers, testifying to the respect of NCRC was Consumer Financial Protection Board Director Mr Cordray who gave notice on "fair lending" during the NCRC Annual Conference.

A plenary session was filmed and broadcasted on national television, and here is NCRC CEO John Taylor advocating for principal reductions on Bloomberg TV:
