Special risk concerns were raised in the overlapping of credit products and unsecured consumer credit being obtained from a large variety of sources. Especially because the market has seen the entrance of a number of new players who allegedly do not operate in an entirely responsible manner compared to the established providers. Assessing the customer's solvency and flexibility must remain a thorough and dependable process, and if candidate borrowers suffer from substance abuse there should be an outright constraint to granting credit.
