General Financial Advice to Consumers: New UK initiative the Money Advice Service comes under scrutiny.
As the European Commission has launched a pilot training project for non-profit entities across the entire EU on consumer financial service issues in the area of advice to consumers, the UK experience with their MAS has been reviewed by stakeholders in the UK. It shows that there is still a lot to learn on how best to provide advice. The ConFinAd project www.confinad.eu will hopefully be able to suggest some examples of better practice at the end of its 2 years of running these training courses in all EU Member States.
